I Got Selected for Adidas x Prada NFT Piece.

Something fun happened yesterday so I thought I’d share.
I submitted an image last week for a project set up by Adidas Originals & Prada in collaboration with established digital artist Zach Lieberman.
In their words,
adidas for Prada re-source by Zach Lieberman is an immersive artwork of decentralized community image contributions and the culmination of adidas for Prada re-source: a first-of-its-kind NFT project featuring creator-owned art, in collaboration with digital artist Zach Lieberman.
The concept of the artwork is to facilitate the education of new communities from art, fashion, and beyond.
The project rewards all co-creators with a share of the final artwork auction sale. After auction fees, all proceeds will be distributed among all individual image tile creators (15%), Zach Lieberman (5%), and Slow Factory (80%), a non-profit organization working to create education driving meaningful solutions and inclusive communities.
As an interactive, dynamic platform, the project is a great example of bringing a community together to create and contribute to a large-scale artwork in the new era of web3.

A nice touch is that although the submitted works, 3,000 in total are being used and sold in the exclusive 1 of 1 edition, all contributors are free to sell their individual contribution should they wish. I’m keeping mine as It’s an exciting event in NFT history to be involved in.

Now I must confess, I can’t claim to be some kind of artistic visionary who knew what they were looking for. I was in Kings Cross with a friend and colleague and took a snap in my surrounding area when the event went live. Very little creative thought went into it other than making sure I caught my friend in one of the squares.
Maybe this little effort makes me a natural artist? I’ll let you decide lol
Anyway, I thought I’d share because these are the types of opportunities that are popping up all the time in the NFT space and open for everyone.
There are people in all corners of the world who are getting a chance to change their lives in this ecosystem. Is this particular project going to change mine? Unlikely, but I’m in a fortunate position to begin with. Many others are not and the NFT space is helping to somewhat level the playing field when it comes to chances to get involved in things no matter where you are, what your background is, or how stable your finances are. It’s an area more people need to start learning about.
